I learned how bracketing is so important because you can actually see what is the better outcome from all your options. I also learned to shoot in really dark and bright environments without having to depend on what the camera wanted and that feels good. I thought that I needed sunlight to get good lighting in my pictures, but I learned that you don't need hideous flash to make your pictures look how you want them indoors. I also learned that you can control nearly as much from your camera as what you get to fix with your computer.
